The Library, reflecting our times and the urban environment in which we live characterized by the presence of information and technology, diverse needs and changing forms of living, should not only accommodate the functions of research, study and reading, but also respond to contemporary needs, including public functions and the promotion of cultural activities.

The idea of the library behind the project proposal for the new BEIC corresponds to that of a hub able to promote circulation, activities and interactions. The aggregation of linear volumes in a dynamic configuration reflects the movements of the historic railway lines with the aim of creating a harmonious balance with the new park.
The volume is composed by separate linear elements, layered in clusters and composed in height relatable to the context. The architectural result symbolically expresses the echo of the linear movement that characterized the memory of the place.
